4 New Overseas Players Who Will Be Retained By Their Teams In IPL 2023

This IPL edition has reached its final play-offs stage of the tournament, many new and old players have stamped their impact in this league phase which has lasted for almost 2 months. Also there were few debuting foreign players who have registered their invincible performance in the very debut season and registered their nomination for IPL 2023. They have added enormous value to the batting aspect of this highly notable T20 tournament of the world. This will create a great impact on the selection process for their National side as the IPL’s performance is calibrated in all aspects of cricket.

The retention process of IPL auction is very cruel for many players, especially the under-performing athletes of the foreign countries. As unfortunately, foreign players find it so difficult to cope up with the Indian conditions and perform for their respective franchises. There Are very few names among them who have performed well for their sides and are also expected to be retained in the season of IPL 2023.

1. Devon Conway (CSK).

The flamboyant kiwi opener has Rock solid his chances for retention in the squad of CSK for IPL 2023. In the seven games of the Indian Premier League he has scored 252 runs with a fantastic average of 42.0. As due to the absence of any staggered top-order batter CSK’s batting department couldn’t cope up with the conditions of this season. Thus Devon Conway has bigger chances of getting retained in the season of IPL 2023 by the CSK management.

2. Bhanuka Rajapaksa (PBKS).

The pure T20-hitting batsman of the Sri-Lankan side has strengthened his chances with his invincible performance in this edition of IPL. In the few initial games he was looking like other great imaging T20 batters who have a brutal image of hitting in non Asian countries but as the games passed on Bhanuka Rajapaksa got into his form and showed the whole IPL fraternity his ruthless power-hitting talent. Hope he will be given equal respect by the Punjab Management by retaining in IPL 2023.

3. Dewald Brevis (MI).

The 19-year-old South African Batter has created his image on the similar kind of T20 hitting like the great AB De Villiers. Brevis has solved the problem of Mumbai Indians middle order who was looking completely pale after the departure of Hardik Pandya from the side. Brevis has shown his early symptoms of making his world-class batting into a great phenom which would put an enormous example before the whole cricketing fraternity. He scored less runs in the 12 games that he played, but his strike rate of 156 makes him a consistent hitter in T20 cricket.

4. Dushmantha Chameera (LSG).

The only abroad Pacer in the list who has created his impact in the debuting season of IPL 2023 is the Sri Lankan emerging pacer Dushmantha Chammera. In the 11 games, he has picked up 9-wickets with a fantastic economy of 8.20. special quality speaking after a wicket in the early to a 1/2 overs of his spell which makes him so favorable for the retention by Lucknow SuperGiants in IPL 2023.
