3 released players whom RCB might target again in IPL 2024 Auctions

When it comes to releases, Royal Challengers Bangalore was the most aggressive. In the process, they also made some decisions which were hard to understand. Therefore, it is possible that the franchise might target a few players whom they released recently. Here, we take a look at the list of three released players whom RCB might target again in IPL 2024 Auctions.

1) Wanindu Hasaranga

It is still not clear as to why Wanindu Hasaranga was released by RCB. Yes, he has a hefty salary but there is no other spinner of his quality left in the tournament.

More importantly, if Hasaranga lands at a team such as MI, CSK or KKR, the team will get strengthened and it would make their path to the playoffs very easy. Nevertheless, RCB needs a good spinner and they might be forced to cough up a lot of money to sign him again.

2) Sid Kaul

Sid Kaul is one of the released players whom RCB might target again in IPL 2024 Auctions. While Akash Deep and V Vyshak were retained, Sid Kaul was surprisingly released. He has actually been the player who has been consistent in domestic cricket in recent years.

Also, with his experience, he would have been a nice inclusion in the team. Now, it is unlikely they could get him back because he will be pursued by other teams, too. RCB might still target him, though.

3) Harshal Patel

It is clear that Harshal Patel’s type of bowling might not suit the pitches at Chinnaswamy. However, if there are no other options left on the table, RCB might go back for Harshal.

It is sure that they will get him for a lower price. Since he knows the conditions well already, there is a chance of him adapting better. Therefore, RCB can go for the experienced cricketer again.
