IPL is one of the biggest tournaments in the cricket world right now. Some of the biggest names in cricket history have been part of the Indian Premier League. Speaking of IPL history, quite a few batsmen have managed to score centuries in this competition.
Initially, fans believed it would be tough for any batsman to touch the three-figure mark because there are only a total of 120 deliveries in one innings. So, if a batsman plays at a strike rate of Test or maybe even ODI cricket, it might be difficult to score a hundred. However, many batsmen who scored hundreds in the longer formats managed to do so in the IPL as well.
Unfortunately, there have been some batsmen who lost their wicket while in the nervous 90s or the innings ended while they were in their 90s. In this article today, we will look at the three Indians who have scored the most 90s in IPL history.
1. Shikhar Dhawan – Four 90s in IPL history
Delhi Capitals star Shikhar Dhawan is one of the three Indian batsmen with four 90s in IPL history. He scored 92 against the Punjab Kings in the first phase of IPL 2021 played earlier this year. Before that, he scored 95 against Punjab Kings in 2011, 92 vs Delhi Capitals in 2018 and 97 vs Kolkata Knight Riders in 2019.
2. KL Rahul – Four 90s in IPL history
One of the most consistent batsmen in IPL history, KL Rahul has also recorded four 90s. The first came against Rajasthan Royals in 2018, and the next ones against Mumbai Indians in 2018, Rajasthan Royals in 2021 and Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2021.
3. Virat Kohli – Another batsman with Four 90s
