3 Indian Batters Who Have Scored The Most Runs For RCB In IPL History

The Royal Challengers Bangalore are one of the three franchises that joined the Indian Premier League in the year 2008 and have not won a single title yet. Apart from RCB, the Delhi Capitals and the Punjab Kings are the two teams that have not lifted the IPL trophy yet. The Indian batters of any team play a vital role in their success in the IPL.

Generally, the matches happen in subcontinental conditions. So, it is relatively easy for the Indian batters to score runs. RCB have signed some of the best Indian batters in the IPL history. However, only one of them has been able to amass more than 1,000 runs for the franchise. The other two names in the Top 3 crossed the 500-run mark. In this article, today, we will have a look at those three Indian batters.

1. One of the best Indian batters in IPL – Virat Kohli

The captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team Virat Kohli holds the top spot on this leaderboard. Kohli is not only the leading run-scorer for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, but he is also number one on the all-time IPL Most Runs leaderboard. The RCB star has amassed over 6,000 runs in his career so far. To be precise, he has scored 6,134 runs in 201 matches, smashing five hundreds and 41 half-centuries. Recently, he scored a fifty against the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

2. Rahul Dravid

Former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Rahul Dravid is the second name on this list. Dravid was one of the best Test Indian batters. Some fans were not sure if he would succeed in a format like T20, but Dravid proved his doubters wrong. The right-handed batter aggregated 898 runs in 37 innings for Bangalore. His highest score for the team was 75*.

3. Devdutt Padikkal

One of the youngest Indian batters in the IPL right now, Devdutt Padikkal, is the third entry. The left-handed batter made his debut in the year 2020 only, but he is number three on this all-time list now. Padikkal has scored 760 runs in 23 innings. Earlier this year, he smashed a century against the Rajasthan Royals in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League’s first half.
