1. Ricky Ponting

He has played 168 matches in Tests wherein he aggregated 13,378 runs at a splendid batting average of 51.85 including 6 double centuries, 14 centuries and 62 fifties. He registered his personal best score of 257.

2. Allan Border

Allan Border is second on the list in terms of the most runs scored in the longest format. Having played 156 matches in his cricketing career, he has scored 11174 runs at an average of 50.56.

He has struck 27 centuries, 63 fifties and 2 double centuries. Allan Border registered his personal best score of 205.

3. Steve Waugh

Steve Waugh was considered one of the best batters in Test cricket during the heydays of his cricketing career. The former Australian skipper comes third on the list in terms of the most runs accumulated in Test cricket.

He has scored 10,927 runs at an average of 51.06 including 32 centuries and 50 fifties in his stellar career. On the other hand, he slammed one double century to his name, registering his personal best score of 200.
