Every time ICC Under-19 World Cup takes place, a plethora of young talent set the stage on fire with their superlative skills. This year’s edition is no different as there has been plenty of talent in each team on display so far. Dewald Brevis, an attacking Proteas batsman, has impressed everyone with his magnificent show with the bat.
The right-handed batsman has amassed 362 runs at a sublime batting average of 90.50 in the tournament. He has, majorly, been a lone warrior for his team with the bat.
No doubt, he will be a player on IPL franchises’ radar this IPL auction. The teams will go after him as he is the one teams can bank on. However, this young talent wants to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
“For me, the biggest dream is to play for the Proteas and then I am such a big fan of the IPL, I would love to play for RCB because AB (de Villiers) and (Virat) Kohli are there,” Dewald Brevis said.
“Also, all the other T20 competitions around the world. I want to be recognized as an all-rounder with my leg-spin bowling. I want to play all three formats,” he added.
There have been his old pictures floating on the internet in which he is seen wearing the RCB jersey. His love for the Bangalore-based franchise is visible from his social media handle.
As the image above shows, he is an RCB fanatic to the core. Just like millions of others, he is also a huge fan of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. If RCB gets him somehow, it will be a dream come true moment for Brevis.
He has the potential to be a destructive batsman in the future. He has been a class above the rest in the ongoing World Cup. It will be interesting to see which team spends money on him.
