“We will see the peak of Virat Kohli in 2023, atleast 12 hundreds”, Twitter reacts as India in 2023 will be playing more than 35 ODIs in a calendar year for the first time in 16 years

The 2022 cricket season for India finished on a high note, as they swept Bangladesh in a series of Test matches and moved closer to qualifying for the WTC Finals. The Indian team is always on the go since they are one of the most active squads in the world. As soon as the calendar turns to 2023, we may expect to see the Men in Blue in action.

Indian cricket fans should keep an eye out for next year’s World Cup of One-Day Internationals and the WTC final. The fact that the 50-over World Cup will be held in India only adds to the event’s importance. However, India can only guarantee their berth in the WTC Final if they win in the Border Gavaskar Series against Australia.

India and Sri Lanka will play a total of five matches in 2023, starting with three Twenty20 Internationals and two One-Day Internationals. The BCCI made it obvious with the roster reveal on Tuesday that they want to shake up the team’s structure and get rid of some of the veteran players who haven’t been doing their weight.

In February of 2023, India will play their last matches in the ICC Men’s Test World Championship 2021-2023, which will be the famous Border-Gavaskar series. In June of 2023, the championship match will be played in England at The Oval. In India, Australia will compete in four Tests and three One-Day Internationals.

For the first time since 2008, the Asia Cup will be held in Pakistan in 2023. It is unclear whether India would go to Pakistan due to tensions between the BCCI and the PCB; BCCI secretary and Asia Cricket Council president Jay Shah has advocated for the tournament to be played in a neutral location.

When it comes to the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2023, India will be the only host for the first time. They want to return to the top of the podium. For the third time this year, Australia will visit India to play a total of five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
