“WC Semi-Final here we come,” Twitterati reacts as Arshdeep Singh’s effort with the ball makes India favourites to reach the knockout stage

Arshdeep Singh returned with the figures of 2/38 and helped India bag the win by 5 runs against Bangladesh.

Fans on Twitter were in awe of Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh after his exceptional bowling in the T20 World Cup 2022 clash against Bangladesh. They were delighted in joy and hilariously raised calls to make him the CM of Punjab before praising him for his heroics.

Arshdeep Singh picks two wickets in the 12th over and bowls a sensational last over to win India the game

Chasing the target of 185 runs, Bangladesh openers Najmul Hossain Shanto and Litton Das took Indian pacers to cleaners and smashed 66 runs in the 7 overs before rain played the spoilsport. However, after that, the match was reduced to 16 overs with Bangladesh needing 151 runs.

India then came out all guns blazing and was quite charged in the field. But the massive moment in the game came when pacer Arshdeep Singh took two wickets in the 12th over and turned the game in his side’s favour.

Arshdeep first removed Afif Hossain when he bowled a length ball outside off, and the batter looked to loft straight but it came off the toe of the bat and went towards long-on, where Suryakumar Yadav took a great catch.

If this was not enough, he then removed skipper Shakib Al Hasan in a similar fashion to change the momentum and turn the game in India’s favour. He just conceded 1 run in that over and took wickets, which was very crucial in the context of the game.

After that Hardik Pandya too chipped in and took two wickets but Bangladesh batters took Hardik to the cleaners and left 20 overs for the last over.

Arshdeep was handed the responsibility for the last over. Even though he conceded six and a four, he held his nerves well and bowled a terrific over to win the game for his side.
