Watch: Rahul Dravid’s priceless reaction for Rishabh Pant’s fastest Test century

Hundred of the highest quality, a century to cherish for as Rishab Pant hit the fastest ton by an Indian wicket-keeper and shifting the momentum on our side made the Indian coach Rahul Dravid jump like a child.

Wickets, runs and everything you would want from a first day of a Test match in England were evident yesterday. India didn’t start on a good note as they were down for 98-5, and that’s when Rishab Pant came in. When he wanted other guys to step up and play by the motto of attack is the best form of defense, India were losing wickets from the other side. Soon after, Pant was accompanied by Ravindra Jadeja in the middle and mustered a 222 run partnership which made England’s “new era” completely deflated within a matter of hours.

Rishab Pant hit a scintillating 100* of just 89 balls and it was Dravid who enjoyed it the most from the dressing room. Generally a cold person, who doesn’t like to express his feelings on the ground or when in front of the camera, was seen celebrating while jumping and applauding whom he has nurtured from the U19 level.

Dravid’s reaction on Rishab Pant’s hundred-

Dravid was never seen reacting to situations on the ground when we he was a player but he feels immense pride in seeing his disciples do well and never fails to applaud them whole heartedly.

Rishab Pant had changed the complexion of the test match in matter of hours and Dravid perfectly understood how priceless this century was coming at a time when India were on the way to a batting collapse. Dravid indeed was pumped up as that knock had prevented a big amount of damage which could have been done if Rishab Pant wouldn’t have had stepped up and hit those important runs followed by Ravindra Jadeja who scored a fifty and unfolded his sword celebration with the bat. Dravid’s reaction was invaluable and was so joyous to see the batting stalwart celebrate like a kid.

With India on 338/7, Jadeja (83* of 163) and Shami (0* of 11 deliveries), the play resumes at 3:00 pm IST.
