Indian Premier League, also known as the cash-rich IPL or the lucrative league has by far completed fifteen seasons since its entry in the year 2008. Since then, we saw teams battling it out amongst themselves.

Among the teams that made a name for themselves are Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. These two franchises dominated the tournament by taking the game to the deep and winning it with ease.

Mumbai Indians are on top of the list in terms of most titles won by a team in the IPL. Rohit Sharma and Co have won as many as five accolades whereas MS Dhoni and Co won as many as four titles.

Kolkata Knight Riders won two titles so far whereas the likes of Rajasthan Royals, Deccan Chargers Hyderabad (now terminated IPL franchise), Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans won a title each.

Today, IPL is the most-watched T20 tourney in the world. Plenty of players come to this league in the hope that they would entertain the fans and thrive in the league.

The IPL cricket fraternity has seen plenty of superstars entertaining the fans at the best scene. Moreover, the fraternity also saw the introduction of two new teams in the competition.

They are none other than Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans. Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans made a name for themselves in the debut season and went on to win the title.

Meanwhile, Iceland Cricket took to their official Twitter handle to reveal what would happen if India’s premier T20 competition keeps getting longer at the current rate of expansion.

“If the Indian Premier League keeps getting longer at the current rate of expansion, then by about 2029 one season won’t have finished before the next one begins,” Iceland Cricket wrote.
