“The way they support each other” – Twitter reacts after Shaheen Afridi praises Abrar Ahmed on his dream debut against England

Pakistan national cricket team are locking horns with the England national cricket team in the second of the three-match Test series. The second Test is taking place at Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan.

England’s Test captain Ben Stokes won the toss and chose to bat first in the second Test. The visitors started the first innings pretty well before Abrar Ahmed started to rip through the defence of the batting line-up.

Abrar Ahmed who is a professional right-arm leg-break bowler by trait made his Test debut against England today. It didn’t take much time for the 24-year-old spinner to make an impact with the ball.

Abrar Ahmed weaved the magic with the ball and then dismantled England’s top and middle order. He bowled at the right line and length and after which, he reaped rewards on Day 1 of the second Test.

He took his first wicket by making a mess of Zak Crawley’s stumps at the best scene. After that, he went on to trap Ben Duckett for a leg before wicket. Duckett who scored a century in the first innings of the first Test scored 63 off 49 balls including nine boundaries and a six.

Abrar Ahmed took the prized wicket of Joe Root (8) and after that, he went on to get rid of the wicketkeeper-batsman Ollie Pope for 60 runs (5 fours). Abrar Ahmed spun the web at the right time again to dismiss Harry Brook and captain Ben Stokes for 9 and 30 respectively.

He also went on to trap Will Jacks for a leg before wicket for 31 runs and accounted for seven dismissals so far. Overall, it was a fantastic debut for Abrar Ahmed and fans took to Twitter and praised him for his performance.

Surprisingly, Shaheen Afridi heaped praise on Abrar Ahmed for his dream debut. The southpaw took to Twitter and wrote, “What a dream debut, Abrar – the superstar! Way to go magician. Keep it up.”
