It was a feast for the fans of Test cricket. The game between Pakistan and New Zealand at Karachi went down to the wire. Here, we take a look at how Twitter reacted as Pakistan and New Zealand 2nd Test ends in a nail-biting draw.
Pakistan and New Zealand 2nd Test ends in a nail-biting draw
The first Test between Pakistan and New Zealand ended in a dramatic fashion. Pakistan took a risky declaration call and if not for the interruption by bad light, the Kiwis would have won the game. While that game gave a lot of drama, it was even better in the second Test.
Batting first, New Zealand made 449 runs in the first innings. In response, Pakistan scored 408 and hence, at that time itself, the stars were aligning for a close game. Nowadays, teams do not hesitate in making some risky calls and the Kiwis did that by declaring at 277 runs with five wickets left in hand. Pakistan was set a target of 319 and on the final day, it was very much possible. However, the hosts had a terrible start. While they lost the first two wickets making no runs, at one point, they were 80-5. It looked almost impossible for Pakistan to win the game. However, former skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed stepped up. He scored a brilliant hundred and stitched partnerships with the likes of Saud Shakeel and Agha Salman to bring the team close to the target. In the last hour, every ball was an event. However, in the end, the game ended in a draw although 10 more minutes could have been enough to decide the winner.
Twitter reacts to the game

Stupid decision by umpire..
They should let them play to have at least some results

End of test cricket in Pakistan for 12-13 months as they won't host a test match until Feb 2024!
Pakistan will only play 4 more test matches in 2023 – 2 against Sri Lanka in SL, 2 against Australia in AUS (part of 3-game series).#PAKvNZ

I don’t understand why they have come off? Pakistan we’re scoring runs; New Zealand taking catches and wickets; there was not any bad light precedent…it wasn’t dangerous…#PAKvNZ #PakistanCricket #CricketTwitter
