India’s fast bowler Umran Malik brought the best out of himself in the T20I opener against the Sri Lankan cricket team at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The right-arm paceman literally wreaked havoc on Sri Lanka with super-fast deliveries.
He certainly ruffled the opposition batsman’s feathers by bowling at a swift pace. In the process, he clocked a 155 kmph thunderbolt to get rid of Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka in the best scene.
Thus he edged past Jasprit Bumrah’s record for the fastest-ever delivery by an Indian. Umran Malik bowled his full quota of four overs wherein he conceded 27 runs at an economy of 6.80.
The right-arm paceman accounted for two dismissals in the game and also drew praise for his performances. He is just getting started in international cricket and might go to the next level if the Indian cricket team rewards him with opportunities.

Team India got the better of Sri Lanka by 2 runs and took the first lead in the three-match T20I series. The second T20I between Team India and Sri Lanka will begin on January 5 in Pune.
