Dinesh Karthik bowling: India and Afghanistan clashed in their last game in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai. The game saw the ‘Men in Blue’ dominating the opposition in all three departments and ending the tournament on a high.

The game between India and Afghanistan not only saw India showcasing a high-quality display with bat and ball but also a few incidents and moments that caught the attention of many.

One of them was when keeper batter Dinesh Karthik rolled his arm over for India in the last over of the game. After Bhuvneshwar Kumar rattled Afghanistan’s batting order, it was merely a matter of time for India as they had removed half of the Afghanistan side in the first few overs.

With 119 runs needed off the last over, stand-in skipper KL Rahul gave the ball to Karthik, who bowled for the first time in international cricket. Although he leaked 18 runs in the over, his bowling gave a lot of entertainment to his fans.

Dinesh Karthik to play vital for Team India in T20 World Cup 2022 

Dinesh Karthik didn’t get a lot of game time in the Asia Cup 2022. The keeper batter faced just one ball in the tournament but it is expected that he will be in India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2022.

Karthik made a sensational comeback in the IPL 2022 following which he earned a place on the Indian side. Since then he has been impressed with the bat and whatever opportunity he got, he made full use of it and provided his side with a great finish in almost every match.

With the kind of form, Karthik is in he can play a vital role for India in World Cup. Considering the low run rate India has in the death over, the presence of the senior batter along with Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja can be the greatest positive for India.
