Curtis Campher’s all-round show helped Ireland seal the game by 6 wickets against Scotland

Ireland and Scotland clashed in the match 7th of the T20 World Cup 2022 at Bellerive Oval in Hobart. It was a game that went down the wire and saw Irish all-rounder Curtis Campher stealing the show with both bat as well as with ball and taking his side home.

Asked to bowl first, Ireland struggled with the ball as Scotland batters Michael Jones (81), Matthew Cross (28), Richie Berrington (37) and Michael Leask (17*)  smashed them all over the park. But Campher restricted the scoring rate and returned with the sensational figures of 2/9 in two overs and helped his side restrict the opposition to a total of 176/5.

Chasing the target, it was a horrendous start for Ireland as they lost quick wickets and were struggling at 61/4. At the moment, it seemed that they would fall short of the target, but Campher played an unrealistic knock of unbeaten 72 runs to take his side home.

He was complimented well by George Dockrell, who scored unbeaten 39 runs, to take Ireland home. Campher took charge to the Scotland bowlers and played with a strike rate of a staggering 225. His knock was laced with 7 fours and 2 sixes as he scored 72 runs in just 32 balls.
