This one special quality made him one of the dangerous batters in the present era. The star batsman has well and truly cemented his spot in the T20I set-up. He was also picked for the Twenty20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
The right-handed batsman finished the tournament as the third leading run-scorer. He aggregated as much as 239 runs to his name in six games he played for the team. Moreover, he slammed 3 fifties to his name.
The Mumbai-born cricketer received countless praises from across quarters for his ability to take the game away from the opposition. Notably, he has won more man of the match awards, more than any other player ever since he made his debut in Twenty20 Internationals.

Meanwhile, India’s veteran wicketkeeper-batsman, Dinesh Karthik reserved the highest respect for Suryakumar Yadav for his mind-blowing statistics as far as the shortest format of the game is concerned.
It is not that easy to score runs that quickly and maintain consistency levels in the long run but Suryakumar Yadav made it look so. The 32-year-old still has many years of cricket left in him and will be looking forward to weaving the magic with the bat.
While speaking to Cricbuzz, Dinesh Karthik called Suryakumar Yadav a ‘phenomenal player’ and highlighted the fact that it is not easy to maintain an average of 45 across 40 games and a strike-rate of 180.
“Suryakumar Yadav is phenomenal, strike rate of 180 and average of 45 across 40 matches, it’s not easy,” Dinesh Karthik said. Suryakumar Yadav was recently named the man of the series for his impeccable ton against New Zealand in the second T20I.
