Shubman Gill has remained as one of the greatest opening batsmen for whichever side he has played. Beginning from the Under-19 World Cup itself, he had the hunger to cement his place in the Indian side. He has been working hard for the same.
The opening batsman has been a part of the Men in the Blue side since past. He has been currently selected for the WTC finals. It seems like he might get the chance to open for the Indian side in the mega match. Gill could be seen along side Rohit Sharma as they both can be the opening pair for India.
The Cricketer has so far smashed 378 runs in 7 test matches which he has played. The last test match which he featured in was against the English side right before IPL 2021. His top score so far in this format has been recorded at 91 runs.

However, there has been a worry for the Indian batsman too. He didn’t get going in the recently concluded first phase of IPL 2021. Opening the innings for KKR, he just managed to smash 132 runs from 7 games. He didn’t succeed in scoring a half-century as his top score just remained at 43 runs.
Currently, all the Indian cricketers who have been selected for the final would be under quarantine. Shubman Gill decided to spent some time as he concluded the ask me anything session on his Instagram handle. This received a very interesting response from a girl.
