Ravindra Jadeja likely to miss the Test series against Bangladesh

India is all set to tour Bangladesh for ODI and Test series. The tour will begin with three-match ODI series that will be played from 4th December in Mirpur whereas two Test matches will be played in Chattogram on 14th December and Mirpur on 22nd December respectively. This will be the first time since 2015 India will tour Bangladesh.

Both the ODI and Test series will hold extreme importance in the context of the ICC ODI Super League and World Test Championship. Both the teams would want to give their best and better their positions in the respective points table.

After being ruled out ODI series, Ravindra Jadeja is likely to miss the Test series as well. This will come as a massive blow for India considering his prowess in Test cricket. The all-rounder has failed to recover from the knee injury and is likely to come back to action next year.

In his place, Saurabh Kumar is likely to get the opportunity in the Test squad as per the reports in Cricbuzz. The all-rounder has been a consistent performer in FC for his domestic side. He has 1721 runs to his name from 52 games and has taken 222 wickets in the same number of matches. He can be the like-to-like replacement for Jadeja if reports emerge to be true.
