Yuzvendra Chahal and Suryakumar Yadav asked to leave flight and return to hotel due to poor weather

India is slated to visit New Zealand for an upcoming ODI and T20I series. India versus New Zealand 2022 series will feature three ODI games and three T20I games. It has been decided to play the Twenty20 International series between India and New Zealand first, followed by the One Day International series. The India trip to New Zealand in 2022 will start soon after the present ICC T20 World Cup 2022.

On November 18, 20, and 22, they will play three games in the Twenty20 International series. The first Twenty20 International will take place at Wellington’s Sky Stadium. The second Twenty20 International will take place at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. The venue of the 3rd T20I is McLean Park, Napier. India will be captained by Hardik Pandya in the T20 series.

Talking about India versus New Zealand ODI series, the 1st ODI is expected to take place on November 25 at Eden Park in Auckland. The second one-day international will be held in Hamilton’s Seddon Park on the 27th, while the third will be played in Christchurch at Hagley Oval on the 30th. India’s one-day international team will be led by Shikhar Dhawan.

Back in November 2021, India and New Zealand wrapped up a Twenty20 International (T20I) series. Three Twenty20 Internationals were played between New Zealand and India during the series. New Zealand was swept (losing all three). Later, New Zealand participated in a Test series, which they also lost.

India’s ODI and T20I squads have been revealed, however, New Zealand has not yet revealed their teams for the home series. Several notable Indian players will not be participating in the series.

India had a disastrous outing in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2022 at the Adelaide Oval. England registered a 10-wickets victory against India, chasing 169 in just 16 overs. Suryakumar Yadav failed to perform in the semi-final game. However, he was sensational throughout the whole tournament. On the other hand, the leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal did not feature in the playing XI in any of the games in the World Cup.

While making a trip to Wellington, both these players were asked to leave the flight and get back to their hotel due to harsh weather.
