Saba Karim, who was a wicketkeeper for India in the past, feels that the quality of players available to Team India is far higher than that of the West Indies.
In the fifth Twenty20 international, which took place on Sunday in Florida, the Blue Men played with three spinners. Although this may have backfired due to the presence of power-hitters inside West Indies’ ranks, the spinners reacted admirably to the challenge and were able to meet the issue head-on. Ravi Bishnoi, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav partnered to take all ten wickets in the match.
In an interview with India News Sports, Saba Karim commended the wealth of talent that India has and the trust that India’s management has shown in their depth of bench players.

What did Saba Karim say?
He said: “The fact that these guys are given opportunities to contribute demonstrates how much faith the management of the squad has in their skills. They used three spinners in their lineup, and all of them contributed to the team’s success by taking wickets. When bowling with the new ball, Axar showed a lot of skill. In the middle overs, Kuldeep and Bishnoi caused most of the damage.”
He added: “The West Indies have a lot of young players, but they don’t have the mental fortitude or the skill to play spin well. If they want to be a serious contender for the Twenty20 World Cup, then they will need to improve in this particular area. The disparity in quality that existed between the two groups was glaringly obvious.”

In their second innings, the West Indies were only able to score 100 runs due to the efforts of the Men in Blue, headed by Bishnoi’s four-fer and Yadav and Patel’s three-wicket hauls, respectively. After Shreyas Iyer’s 64 helped drive India to 188/7 in 20 overs, the home team was unable to reach their goal and ended up losing by an enormous 89 runs.
