“RCB fans be like ‘what is this happening?'”, Twitter reacts as Faf du Plessis thanks Ruturaj Gaikwad by saying “My opening partner, Miss You”

Faf Du Plessis, a former captain for South Africa, published his autobiography titled “Faf: Through Fire” on October 28. Suresh Raina, a veteran of India’s cricket team and a former member of the Indian Premier League, has joined the growing number of players who have congratulated Faf on the publication of his book.

Thanks to their time spent together on the Chennai Super Kings of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Raina and Faf are close. On Friday, Raina thanked Faf, the former captain of the Proteas, and posted a photo of the two of them with the book on Twitter.

Faf tweeted a positive message before the release of his book, in which he said that he had never spoken up about his life to anybody outside of his inner circle. He did, however, promise that this book would provide readers with a glimpse into his world.

Faf writes a book in which he promises to go into his background and reveal parts of himself that most people in his position would prefer to keep secret. He describes himself as a cold-hearted spouse, a jealous pal, and a self-conscious grownup in the book. Those who only know him as the self-conscious guy worried about his front-cover picture may be surprised to learn about other sides of his personality.

A large portion of the book is a chronological summary of his career that is told without the use of scorecards or match reports. A number of his connections to notable South Africans like Mark Boucher and Graeme Smith are explored in the book.

Faf du Plessis, a South African cricketer, was one of the team’s most reliable batsmen after Jacques Kallis’ retirement. The 38-year-old has all the strokes down pat and is often praised for his composure and elegance on the cricket pitch. All three formats benefited from his brave attitude and even temperament. In February 2013, he was named captain of the South African Twenty20 squad and was a crucial part of the Proteas’ success.

Faf finished playing Test cricket in 2021, however, he is still active in the sport in its lesser forms. He did not make the ICC T20 World Cup roster. The energetic batter has been a hit in the Indian Premier League despite this. He was a rock of reliability in the Chennai Super Kings’ dugout and a key cog in the team’s success under Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s captaincy. For the 2021 season of the lucrative Indian Premier League, Faf was signed by the Royal Challengers Bangalore and given the role of captain.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, the Indian and Chennai Super Kings opener uploaded a screenshot of this book on his Instagram story and wrote, “Thanks for this partner @fafdup.” In turn, Faf replied back with, “My opening partner, Miss You.” Faf du Plessis and Gaikwad used to open for CSK when Du Plessis was part of the CSK set up.
