The New Zealand national cricket team are locking horns with the Pakistan national cricket team in the second of the two-match Test series at National Stadium in Karachi.

Earlier, both teams played out for a draw in the first Test match in Karachi. It remains to be seen whether or not the second and final Test of the series will get a result.

Talking about the second Test, New Zealand cricket team Test skipper, Tim Southee won the toss and chose to bat first. The likes of Tom Latham and Devon Conway added a 134-run partnership for the opening wicket.

Pakistan’s Naseem Shah got rid of Latham for 74 runs (nine boundaries). However, Devon Conway went about his business and smashed his fourth Test century, in what was a fabulous start to his Test career.

The southpaw scored 122 runs on Day 1 of the second Test where he struck as many as 16 fours and a six before he was dismissed by Agha Salman in the second ball of the 63rd over.

Devon Conway would be satisfied with the way he started his Test career. He averages nearly 60 in Tests accumulating over 1100 runs in this format. Notably, he has shown promising signs that he can go on to become one of the best in the business for New Zealand.

At the time of writing this article, New Zealand scored 255 for the loss of four wickets in 68 overs. They lost their talismanic batsman, Kane Williamson for 36 runs as he fell prey to Naseem Shah’s bowling.

On the other hand, Daryl Mitchell departed after scoring 3 as he was outsmarted by Agha Salman. Naseem Shah and Agha Salman have bowled pretty well for the hosts as they took two wickets apiece.
