“Hello Yadav,” Australian woman cricketer Amanda Wellington trolls Suryakumar Yadav as the Indian T20 star greeted the New Zealand capital city Wellington on twitter

Suryakumar Yadav has reached New Zealand with a new look Indian T20 squad to play a 3-match series

While most players from the Indian team have returned back home after losing to England in the semis of the T20 World Cup, a select few players, including Suryakumar Yadav, have made their way to New Zealand. Suryakumar, alongside Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant, has been included in the new-look Indian squad which will play a 3-match T20I series against New Zealand from Friday.

As Suryakumar Yadav reached Wellington yesterday, which is the capital city of New Zealand, he posted a tweet “Hello Wellington”. Suryakumar’s tweet was obviously directed towards the huge Indian diaspora that lives in the Kiwi land, but that tweet drew some funny reactions as well.

One of the funny reactions came from the Australian woman cricketer Amanda Wellington. She is not a regular feature for the Australian women’s team in international cricket, but she regularly plays for Melbourne Stars in the women’s Big Bash League (WBBL).

Amanda Wellington quoted the tweet of Suryakumar Yadav and wrote “Hello Yadav”. It was a sarcastic tweet because everyone knew that Surya, in his tweet, was talking about Wellington city and he was not talking about Amanda’s surname. But, Amanda Wellington made it about her surname just for the purpose of sarcasm.

Suryakumar Yadav didn’t react to the tweet of Amanda Wellington

Suryakumar Yadav didn’t react to the tweet of Amanda Wellington, but some of the Indian fans reacted to it and they reacted in good jest.

Although the bilateral series against New Zealand doesn’t matter a lot from a result point of view as far as the Indian team is concerned, they would like to start their transition in the shortest format of the game now, with plenty of new, young players in the squad.

Shubman Gill has been included in the Indian T20I squad for the first time, while Sanju Samson and Umran Malik have returned to the squad. The off-spinner Washington Sundar, who was injured for a long time, is back in the fold as well.

I write a bit on cricket and I am more interested in technical and tactical side of the game, rather than bravado.
