IPL 2020: AB De Villiers and Gurkeerat Singh has started hammering big sixes
In absolutely incredible scenes that would fill the heart of any Indian fans with sheer exhilaration, Royal Challengers Bangalore released a few scenes from their indoor practice which saw De Villiers taking the bowlers to the cleaners. The video also had footage of Gurkeerat Singh, Shivam Dube and Chris Morris throwing their blade wildly at everything that came their way.
ABD and Gurkeerat seemed in lethal touch as Bangalore will finally prepare their bid to notch up their maiden Indian Premier League.
De Villiers clubbed the ball around for quite a few number of times while Gurkeerat executed a colossal shot that would have cleared the boundary lines on any given day and field.
RCB took to Twitter and tweeted, “There was one common emotion in the camp – Happiness. If the first hit was all about getting back to doing what you love, this one was about getting better, and working hard to get there.”
Katich was extremely observant about his surroundings and heaped a lot of praises on his batting brigade.
He said, “The bowlers did well but what stood out for me was that the batters applied themselves really well. A number of guys got in there and played proper cricket shots and got used to the wicket. Tonight was a very good session for a number of the batsmen.”
When asked about Gurkeerat’s batting performance, he was happy about it as hr quoted, “Yeah, magnificent tonight. He’s got into the nets and applied himself as he would do in a match, which is not easy to do. A lot of guys like to get in there and try and hit them for six, but sometimes you’ve got to construct an innings in the nets because that will prepare you for the game.”
In order for Bangalore to fire, they will need the best of knocks from their Indian components like Gurkeerat Singh, Shivam Dube and Parthiv Patel with Kohli leading the pack.
RCB also recently announced the signing of Adam Zampa to replace Kane Richardson who flew back because he and his wife are expecting their first child.
