IND vs SA 2022: Team India has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series against South Africa. They displayed a sensational rather dominating performance in the first game and clinched the game by 8 wickets. India has suffered a major blow as Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the series and in his place, Mohammed Siraj has been drafted into the side.

After a staggering display in the first game, India is now slated to lock horns against South Africa in the second T20I on Sunday (2nd October) at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. Their pacers did a fantastic job in the first game as their pacers made a mockery of the South African batting line up and they weren’t tested at all.
However, it is expected that South Africa will come out all guns blazing in the second game and India needs to pull their socks up if they have to seal the series. It remains to be seen how will they be fair with playing only 5 bowlers and 6 batters combination.

Coming to their playing 11, India is expected to continue with the same XI. Skipper Rohit Sharma who didn’t have a good game with the bat in the first T20I, along with KL Rahul will open the batting for their side in the second T20I against South Africa. Virat Kohli will bat at No.3 and would be looking to make up for his failure in the first game.
With the kind of form he is in, no one can replace Suryakumar Yadav at No.4 in the Indian XI unless some injury will force him out. Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik are expected to bat at No.5 and No.6 and would be looking to have some game time.
Axar Patel and R Ashwin are likely to be the bowling all-rounders in the Indian side for the second T20I. They both did reasonably well in the first game along with Deepak Chahar, Harshal Patel and Arshdeep Singh, who is also expected to retain their place in the side.
