Predicting Strongest Playing XI For DC In IPL 2022

Delhi Capitals have formed an excellent-looking squad for the IPL 2022 season. They finished as runners-up in IPL 2020 and narrowly missed out on a place in the final last year. Rishabh Pant will lead the DC Playing XI, but Shreyas Iyer is not present this year.

The Capitals released him ahead of the mega auction and did not buy him back. The Capitals have invested in David Warner and Mitchell Marsh this time around. Their squad looks strong on paper, and here’s a look at their predicted playing XI.

Openers – David Warner and Prithvi Shaw

It goes without saying that the opening pair of the Delhi Capitals team will be the duo of David Warner and Prithvi Shaw. Their right hand-left hand combination will help DC at the top. Both are explosive batters and can win matches single-handedly on their day.

Middle Order – Mitchell Marsh, Mandeep Singh and Rishabh Pant (C and WK)

Mitchell Marsh should bat at number three because he has proven himself as a match-winner in that position for Australia in T20Is. Mandeep Singh and Rishabh Pant, two experienced IPL stars, will back Marsh in the middle-order.

All-rounders – Rovman Powell, Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur

DC made an excellent call by roping in Rovman Powell, who is a fast-bowling all-rounder from Jamaica. Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur, two stars of the Indian cricket team, will bat at number seven and eight besides bowling four overs each in the bowling department.

Bowlers – Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje and Khaleel Ahmed

Kuldeep Yadav will share the spin-bowling attack responsibilities with Axar Patel. The duo of Anrich Nortje and Khaleel Ahmed complete the side. While Ahmed is a wicket-taking bowler, Nortje will lead the pace attack with his express fast bowling.

DC Predicted Playing XI for IPL 2022

David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (c and wk), Mandeep Singh, Rovman Powell, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje and Khaleel Ahmed.
