David Warner scores just 3 runs against Ireland in Brisbane

Australia is currently taking on Ireland in their fourth encounter of the T20 World Cup 2022 at the Gabba in Brisbane. The hosts lost the toss and put were put into bat first. However, it wasn’t a fruitful start for them as they lost an early wicket in David Warner.

The Aussie opener, who was expected to play a huge role in the ongoing tournament, has been the biggest cause of concern for his side. In the three innings that he has played so far, Warner has managed just 19 runs at a poor average.

After failing in the two consecutive matches, many had backed to set the stage on fire in the game against Ireland. But this wasn’t the case as he was back in the hut for another low score. The southpaw just managed 3 runs in  7 balls and was back in the hut in the 3rd over.

Barry McCarthy bowled a back of a length delivery that was sliding down, to which Warner tried to pull. He did have a good connection but pouched it straight to the fielder at backward square leg to leave Australia tumbling at 8/1.
