Veteran Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik has heaped rich praise on Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav for his heroics in the game against South Africa at the T20 World Cup 2022. He said that the right-hander can play with the bowler’s mind and is very bold and amazing.

India suffered a disappointing loss at the hands of South Africa in Perth in their third game of the T20 World Cup 2022. It was the poor performance with the bat for them as they posted just 133 runs on the board.

But Suryakumar Yadav was the lone warrior for his side with the bat as he played another sensational inning to help India post a competitive total. At one stage the Men in Blue were reeling at 49/5 and it didn’t seem that they would go past even 100 runs.

But Suryakumar displayed a magnificent performance with a bat and continued his sublime form. While wickets kept tumbling at one end, he counter-attacked South African pacers and smashed them all over the park.

He looked unfazed at what happened on the other hand and kept moving the scorecard. In the process, he reached his second consecutive half-century and kept the run rate going.

Despite the wickets falling at the other end, he batted with a strike rate of over 175 runs and made sure that his team has something to fight with. Suryakumar scored 68 runs in 39 balls with the help of 6 fours and 3 sixes.

In what his second consecutive half-century of the tournament, Suryakumar Yadav earned rich praise for his knock. His magnificent performance made even Shoaib Malik praise him. Speaking about his sensational knock, he said:

“Suryakumar Yadav can play with bowler’s mind. The way he played against South Africa in difficult situation, he is absolutely bold and amazing”.

Suryakumar Yadav is likely to play a crucial role for Team India going ahead into the T20 World Cup 2022. India win next face Bangladesh on Wednesday (2nd November) in Adelaide.
