In one such incident, Australian hard-hitter, Glenn Maxwell came up with a heartfelt tweet for his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate, Abraham Benjamin De Villiers.

It was in 2021 that de Villiers and Maxwell played on the same team for the first time as Royal Challengers Bangalore dared to show faith in the explosive Australian all-rounder. Both the batters fall in the rare category of cricketers who can unleash menacing destruction upon the opposition if they get going. Imagine the duo starting to spark a rampage together and what follows is nothing short of an onslaught.
Royal Challengers Bangalore will be resuming their campaign against an ailing Kolkata Knight Riders at Dubai on the 20th of September. They are currently stationed in the third position of the points table and will be raring to move up to the second spot with a victory over the Knights, a team that they have so effortlessly dominated in the past couple of years.
Fans are also aware of the fact that the entire outfit has already reached UAE to be a part of the second phase of IPL and are completing the necessary Covid protocols before the tournament kicks off.
The relationship that Maxwell and ABD shares
In a practice match that featured Royal Challengers Bangalore, ABD went ballistic and smashed a blistering ton to put the opposition to rest. Maxwell had a special tribute readied for his South African teammate.
In an Instagram post, he paid homage to ABD’s greatness by calling him the G.O.A.T which also alludes to the Greatest of All Time. A Twitter user posted it on his personal handle to amplify the bromance that the duo shares amongst themselves outside the stringent schedules of cricket.
