Fans Trolling RCB On Twitter As They Got Bowled Out For 92 Against KKR

KKR posts an incredible display of bowling to come back to IPL

RCB resumes their IPL with embarrassment: Royal Challengers Bangalore got skittled out for a humiliating 92 as a resurgent Kolkata Knight Riders belted out an all-round display to stay afloat in the tournament.

Things seemed bleak for Kolkata when Kohli probably played the shot of the tournament against Prasidh Krishna with an exotic drive that raced to the ropes through the covers. However, Krishna came back with a stronger counterblast as he claimed Kohli with a rare peach.

The early fall of wickets that set RCB ablaze

Padikkal and Srikar Bharat posted an early shard of resistance to set the sails for RCB, but Lockie Ferguson reeled them in with a screamer racing away at 145 clicks.

The spell of destruction from Varun Chakravarthy

Bharat didn’t last long either as Russell produced a wonder over, claiming the wicket-keeper first and then ABD with an absolute screamer that rolled onto his stumps.

This is when the mystery spinner of the purple brigade created an ambience of doom for the Challengers as four of his googlies claimed three important wickets that included the likes of Maxwell and Hasaranga on consecutive deliveries. Sachin Baby was the last man to depart to Chakravarthy, after hurling his bat with frustration.

Jamieson got a bit unfortunate as Varun’s hands came in the way of a rolling ball that would click the stumps at the non-striker’s end to bring the Challengers closer to their decimation.

Harshal Patel pulled off a couple of decent boundaries alongside the one of Siraj, but it was nowhere closer to propel RCB to touching distance of a respectable score.

Ferguson castled Patel with a slower back of the hand delivery, and Russell cleaned up Siraj with a fast bullet that the Indian pacer could barely read.

Twitter was left amused at the way Kolkata Knight Riders announced their comeback to the second phase of the tournament. As very few games remain, Kolkata will have to win almost all of their games if they will have to come close to qualifying for the play-offs.
