“Every dog has his day” – Jimmy Neesham hilariously reacts to his performance in The Hundred

Jimmy Neesham has made a name for himself with his all-round brilliance on the cricket field. Neesham is an all-rounder from New Zealand who bats left-handed and bowls right-arm medium pace. The all-rounder is a part of the Mumbai Indians squad in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League.

While there are still a number of weeks left for the resumption of IPL 2021, Jimmy Neesham decided to participate in the inaugural Men’s Hundred 2021. In case you didn’t know, The Hundred 2021 is a unique competition, where the eight teams, namely Southern Brave, Northern Superchargers, Trent Rockets, Welsh Fire, London Spirit, Oval Invincibles, Manchester Originals and Birmingham Phoenix are competing in a 100-ball-a-side tournament.

There are no ‘overs’ or ‘wickets’ in Men’s Hundred 2021. Instead, the England and Wales Cricket Board has decided to call it as ‘fives’ and ‘outs’. Also, unlike traditional cricket, the ends do not change in The Hundred 2021 after every six balls. The ends change after the completion of every ten deliveries.

Jimmy Neesham picked up a 3-wicket haul in his last match in Men’s Hundred 2021

Many international stars have enrolled themselves for the inaugural Hundred competition. One of them is New Zealand’s all-rounder Jimmy Neesham, who is a part of the Welsh Fire team. Yesterday, the Welsh Fire men’s club played against the Southern Brave Men in Cardiff. The home team won the match by 18 runs, with Jonny Bairstow winning the Player of the Match award.

Jimmy Neesham also played a vital role in his team’s victory. He got out for a duck in the first innings, but he took three wickets with the ball in the second innings and conceded only five runs in his spell of 15 balls. There were 10 dot deliveries in his spell. After the match, Neesham appreciated his own performance in a unique way. Here’s what he tweeted:
