The cricketverse on social media has been abuzz with rumors that all is not well between Rajasthan Royals leg-spin bowler Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma. This rumor started after some fans noticed that the Instagram profile of Verma no longer has the surname ‘Chahal’ in it. Thus, fans began to speculate if something is wrong.
The other things that gave fuel to this rumor were the posts shared by Kolkata Knight Riders and the comment made by Suryakumar Yadav. KKR shared a picture of Yadav with his wife, while captain Shreyas Iyer was standing with Dhanashree Verma. Yadav even commented that they did not miss Yuzvendra Chahal.
News agency ANI confirmed that news circulating of Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree filing for divorce is fake 🏏

Some fans began to baselessly compare the situation with that of Murali Vijay and Dinesh Karthik. On top of that, some individuals impersonated news agency ANI on social media and posted that the couple of Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma has filed for a divorce in a court in Punjab.
Chahal finally broke his silence and posted a comment about it earlier today. You can check it out right here.

Verma has requested all the fans not to spread any rumors about her and her husband on social media. She has urged the cricket fans to put a full stop to this discussion. She finally wrote that: “Love and light to everyone.”
Fans should note that Yuzvendra Chahal also posted an Instagram story yesterday which stated that a new life is loading for him. However, it looks like that post was related to something else. Chahal and Dhanashree have nothing wrong, and they continue to be a happily married couple.
Chahal will be keen to focus on his preparations for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 tournament. India will play against Pakistan on August 28 in Dubai.
