Dale Steyn is disgusted by the fact that Cricket South Africa, while congratulating CSK for winning the IPL 2021 trophy, mentioned the name of Lungi Ngidi, but left out Faf du Plessis and Imran Tahir, two South African players who were also a part of CSK’s title winning squad.
Faf Du Plessis and Imran Tahir have not been picked by Cricket South Africa for the T20 World Cup and one of the reasons behind that is believed to be their willingness to play in various T20 leagues around the world. These two players were although available for the T20 World Cup, CSA decided to go with other players who were available for South Africa on a regular basis in the past one year.
Faf Du Plessis is not being picked by Cricket South Africa for national duty for past some time
Dale Steyn has already said he can’t believe Faf Du Plessis, after scoring 86 runs in the IPL final, is returning home from the same country where T20 World Cup is going to be held. Steyn, while speaking on ESPNcricinfo post match show, said it blows his mind that a player who is in such good form and is acclimatized to the conditions is not representing the country in the World Cup despite being available.
On top of that, when the former Proteas fast bowler saw the Instagram post of CSA where they mentioned only Lungi Ngidi and didn’t mention Faf, he lost his cool. Steyn commented on that post asking who is the admin of that Instagram account and how they didn’t mention Du Plessis and Imran Tahir while congratulating CSK when both of them are South African players and are not retired yet.
Cricket South Africa, after that, deleted the Instagram post, but Steyn was in no mood to let it pass by. He later posted a couple of tweets criticizing Cricket South Africa for that kind of content on their social media handles. Steyn insisted whoever is running those accounts needs to be talked to.
CSA opening a can of worms for themselves with their Twitter and Instagram.

CSA now blocked the comments section.
Here’s some advice.
Do the right thing.
