2 Indians who could get selected to the senior squad if they do well in the 2024 U19 World Cup

At times, the Indian Team could select players purely based on their skills. If they can be groomed now, in a few years, they would become an irreplaceable asset for the Indian Team. This is what happened with the likes of Virat Kohli and to an extent with Shubman Gill, as well. On that note, here, we take a look at two Indians who could get selected to the senior squad if they do well in the 2024 U19 World Cup.

1) Arishin Kulkarni

Currently, India does not have good batting all-rounders. This has led to India being under pressure whenever the fifth bowler has a bad day. This will not be a problem if more batting all-rounders can come into the side.

Arishin Kulkarni plays in the top order and is a good leg-spinner. He has the power to hit huge sixes, as well. He is a talent who needs chances at the highest level at the earliest. Hence, it would not be a surprise if he gets a chance in the Indian Team, soon.

2) Musheer Khan

Musheer Khan is one of the Indians who could get selected to the senior squad if they do well in the 2024 U19 World Cup. Musheer is the brother of cricketer Sarfaraz Khan. Even Sarfaraz was an all-rounder when he started out. Had he continued with his bowling skills, he might have made his India debut by now. Nevertheless, Musheer looks more established with the ball.

Musheer is a talented batter who has the skills to operate across various slots in the batting unit. He is also a useful left-arm spinner. If he can do well in the domestic cricket after the World Cup, an India call-up might not be far away. Before that, he could get a chance in the IPL, something that he missed out in IPL 2024 Auctions.
