Mumbai Indians are the most successful franchise in the history of the Indian Premier League. Under the tutelage of Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians have won a record five titles in India’s premier T20 competition.
Mumbai Indians have also won two Champions League T20 titles in their history and decorated their trophy cabinet with more honours. However, they ran through a terrible phase in the previous campaign.
Rohit Sharma and Co had the worst-ever season in their journey as they finished at the bottom of the points table. They were able to win only four games and lost the rest of the ten games on the group stage.
As a result, they failed to make it to the playoffs. However, Rohit Sharma and Co will be looking to make a stellar rebound by making the amends in the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League.
Mumbai Indians have the biggest win in the history of IPL and WPL
Mumbai Indians are still the most successful team in the competition irrespective of what happened to them in the previous campaign. Meanwhile, they have the biggest win in the history of the Indian Premier League and Women’s Premier League, which is quite a record.
Rohit Sharma is the captain of the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) whereas Harmanpreet Kaur is the captain of the Mumbai Indians Women in the Women’s Premier League (WPL).
Be it in terms of runs or in overs, Mumbai Indians have the biggest win in the history of IPL and WPL. Mumbai Indians’ biggest win in terms of runs came against Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in IPL 2017 season as they won by a massive margin of 146 runs.
In terms of overs, MI chased down the target of 67 against KKR in just 5.3 overs. On the other hand, in WPL, Mumbai Indians Women beat Gujarat Titans Women by 143 runs. Besides that, MI Women aced the target of 156 set by RCB Women in 14.3 overs in the WPL 2023.
Be it IPL or WPL, Mumbai Indians own both the leagues ! 😎
