IND vs SA 2022: The three-match ODI series between India and South Africa will be crucial for the visitors in the context of the ICC ODI Super League. They are placed 11 on the points table and it’ll be a golden opportunity for them better their position, especially with a relatively inexperienced Indian squad. The series between the nationals will begin on Friday (6th October) in Lucknow followed by the second and third games to be played on Sunday (9th October) and Tuesday (11th October) in Ranchi and Delhi respectively.

The first ODI between India and South Africa will be played on Friday (6th October) at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. With all the big names in the squad, there’ll be a toss-up between several players for the place in the playing XI.
Quinton de Kock will no doubt open the innings for South Africa in the first ODI against India. With the kind of record he has, Janneman Malan is expected to be De Kock’s opening partner in the first game.

Skipper Temba Bavuma had poor outings in the T20I series and it’ll be an opportunity for him to regain his form. He’s likely to bat at No.3. Aiden Markram will provide solidity to the middle order and is likely to bat No.4 with David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen set to bat at No.5 and No.6 respectively in the first ODI against South Africa.
Wayne Parnell is expected to be the all-rounder in the side. He’s expected to play a big role with the ball as well. The left-arm pacer is also expected to form the pace bowling department with Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje. Also, Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi are expected to be the two spinners in the side, considering the conditions in India as well.
