“Another KL Rahul is Shubman Gill”, Twitter reacts as Shubman Gill got dismissed for 46 runs from 36 balls in the third T20I against Sri Lanka

India is scoring easily in the third and final Twenty20 International against Sri Lanka in Rajkot, thanks in large part to Suryakumar Yadav’s fifty off just 26 balls. With his current batting score in the seventies, Suryakumar is looking to score his third T20I century.

After Rahul Tripathi‘s counterattacking knock gave India a strong total in the powerplay, he joined Gill in the middle. With Ishan Kishan on one and Tripathi on 35, India had lost two wickets. Two Sri Lankan bowlers, Dilshan Madushanka and Chamika Karunaratne have taken the two wickets. Ahead of their match against the current Asian champions, India’s captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bat first.

However, Shubman Gill did not have the perfect impact with the bat in the third T20I. He had single-digit scores in the first and second T20I. However, in the third T20I at Rajkot, he did score 46 runs but those runs came off 36 deliveries. He was not able to hit the big sixes and fours and struggled to get going. His strike rate was a question. However, just when he was starting to get going, Wanindu Hasaranga castled his stumps and picked up his wicket.
