Chennai Super Kings have played in 12 seasons of the Indian Premier League. In these 12 seasons, they have played under the captaincy of two players only. One is MS Dhoni and the other being Suresh Raina who was CSK captain in the matches where Dhoni did not play.
Now, in IPL 2022, Ravindra Jadeja will captain the Chennai Super Kings for the first time ever. MS Dhoni made this big decision earlier today when he decided to assign the reins of the team to Jadeja. Soon after, Raina posted a tweet, reacting to the big announcement about new CSK captain.
Raina was thrilled to see his former teammate become the new captain of CSK. Once upon a time, Jadeja played under the leadership of Suresh for the Gujarat Lions team. Suresh was delighted to see the new captain and wrote on Twitter:

Suresh Raina will be on commentary when Ravindra Jadeja plays his 1st match as CSK captain
Ravindra Jadeja will make his IPL captaincy debut against the Kolkata Knight Riders this Saturday. Raina, who went unsold at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, has been roped in by Star Sports as a commentator in the Hindi commentary panel.
While Jadeja will make his IPL captaincy debut, Raina will make his commentary debut. It will be exciting to see how the Chennai Super Kings perform in their first match with Ravindra Jadeja as the new captain. The match will start at 7:30 PM IST at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Jadeja will come out for the toss along with KKR’s new captain Shreyas Iyer.
