Tickets For Indian Team’s Warm-up T20 Match In Northamptonshire Sold Out 2 Months In Advance

The Indian cricket team is one of the most popular sports teams in the world, and their incredible fan following on social media proves the same. Recently, the Northamptonshire County Cricket Club issued a statement, claiming that the tickets for India’s warm-up match have been sold out two months before the game.

Many members of the cricket universe would know that the Indian cricket team is all set to tour the United Kingdom for a 3-match T20I series later this year. They will be up against ICC T20 World Cup 2021 semifinalists England in the three-match series, but before the series gets underway, the visitors will play a practice game against Northamptonshire County Cricket Club to get adjusted to the conditions.

Cricbuzz reported earlier today that the tickets for the warm-up match which will happen on July 3 have been sold out. Here’s what a spokesperson from the county told Cricbuzz:

“Northamptonshire County Cricket Club is delighted to welcome the Indian men’s T20 side to The County Ground this summer after hosting the Indian women’s team last year. The match is almost sold out already, so we’re looking forward to what will be an incredible atmosphere and some high-quality cricket.”

Northamptonshire is not the only county that will host the Indian cricket team this year

The Indian cricket team is scheduled to play a home series against the South African cricket team in June 2022. It will be followed by a short tour of Ireland, where the Men in Blue will play two T20I matches against the home team.

Soon after, the Indian team will play two warm-up T20 matches in England, with one of them being the aforementioned one, and the second one being against Derbyshire. It will be interesting to see how the Indian cricket team performs in the four fixtures.
