3 players who recently left international cricket to play Indian domestic cricket

In recent times, we have seen many players quit Indian cricket and explore opportunities elsewhere. The United States of America has been the favourite destination for these players. Some of the popular names who did that include the likes of Unmkut Chand and Bipul Sharma. However, the reverse has also been happening. Some players have left international cricket to come play in India. Of course, this is only for players with an Indian passport. With this move, these players earned a chance to play in the IPL as a domestic cricketer. On that note, here, we take a look at three players who recently left international cricket to play Indian domestic cricket.

1) Tanmay Mishra

Tanmay Mishra is a popular name in this regard. In the 2011 ODI World Cup, he played for Kenya. Before that, as well, he played a lot for the Kenya National Team. He was a popular player then.

However, Tanmay made the move back to India to pursue a career here. The Mumbai-born cricketer represented Deccan Chargers and RCB as an Indian cricketer. He was also in the IPL 2024 Auctions but went unsold.

2) Anshuman Rath

Anshuman Rath played a lot of Hong Kong before retiring there to come and play for Odisha in the Ranji Trophy. He enjoyed decent success here, as well. However, he could not play in the IPL.

Earlier in 2023, he joined the Hong Kong Team again. He has been doing well for them since then. It needs to be seen what his future holds for him.

3) Jhathavedh Subramanyan

Jhathavedh Subramanyan is one of the players who recently left international cricket to play Indian domestic cricket. The leggie is the latest addition to this list.

He also played for Hong Kong and then came to play in the TNPL. In the IPL 2024 Auctions, Sunrisers Hyderabad hired the services of the talented cricketer.
