3 former RCB players Sanjay Bangar could target for Punjab Kings in IPL 2024 Auctions

Sanjay Bangar is the new Head of Cricket Development at Punjab Kings. It is an important role and Bangar might also have a say in the upcoming IPL 2024 Auctions. He was previously the Head Coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Hence, it won’t be a surprise if he targets a few players from his former side. Here, we take a look at three former RCB players Sanjay Bangar could target for Punjab Kings in IPL 2024 Auctions.

1) Siddarth Kaul

It was a surprise to see RCB retain Akash Deep and Vyshak V while they released Sid Kaul. The Punjab cricketer has been in good touch in domestic cricket and recently, as well, he has been doing well.

While PBKS has good depth in the pace department, they might need someone who can operate with slow ball variations. Sid Kaul could be an interesting pick in this regard.

2) Wanindu Hasaranga

Wanindu Hasaranga is one of the former RCB players Sanjay Bangar could target for Punjab Kings in IPL 2024 Auctions. Rahul Chahar is the leader of the spin attack but he has not been up to the mark.

PBKS could look to strengthen their spin department. Hiring Hasaranga will be a solid move for them. While he would make the bowling attack look more well-rounded, he would also add depth to the batting.

3) Michael Bracewell

It will be interesting to see whom PBKS will pick as the replacement for Bhanuka Rajapaksa. The team needs a left-handed batter in the middle order. At times, they had to promote Sam Curran up the order for this purpose.

On the other hand, the team needs to keep in mind the poor current form of Liam Livingstone. Hence, they need to have a backup for him. For both these requirements, Michael Bracewell can be a good signing. He provides balance and decent experience to the team.
